                  Each publication of the newsletter of CRIF, the representative body of French Jewish community, bears a banner which reads: ‘’The aggravating circumstance of anti-Semitism is still not retained. Why this denial of anti-Semitism,’’ in reference to the murder of Sarah Halimi, a 66-year-old Jewish woman who was killed by her 27 year-old Muslim neighbor, Kobili Traore, an immigrant from Mali, who broke into her apartment on April 7.

                  A Sunday Times columnist in Ireland has been fired over anti-Semitic comments on Jewish women’s pay at the BBC. A spokesperson for the British newspaper said the columnist, Kevin Myers, would not be writing for the paper again.

                  “The comments in a column by Kevin Myers in today’s Irish edition of The Sunday Times were unacceptable and should not have been published. It has been taken down and we sincerely apologise for the remarks and the error of judgement that let to publication,’’ wrote Martin Ivens, editor of The Sunday Times in reference to an ant-Semitic column on BBC women's pay.
