The Jewish community in Montenegro has opened its own library in Podgorica. It is named in honor of Dr. Albert Weiss (1905-1964), a distinguished Yugoslav jurist, a prisoner of the Nazis, a member of the Yugoslav delegation at the Nuremberg trial, President of the Yugoslav federation of Jewish communities
Hebrew language course commenced recently. For this purpose community furnished premise in its basement capacity up to twenty people. For now the course got ten attendees, some of them are the members of the community others – not. Lecturer is Shai Kohen, Professor PhD in Philology and certified lecturer for foreign students
The International Jewish Youth Camp Seminar “My Family in the History of the Jews” ended its work in Kazakhstan. The camp was organized by the Jewish community of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is a part of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress.
