Six candles were lit up in Sofia synagogue in memory of the six million Jews killed during the World War II.
18.04.2004 Bulgarian Jews remembered the Jews who died at the hands of the Nazis with a service at Sofia synagogue. The events during the World War II left 6 million Jews murdered, in a mass slaying that became known as the Holocaust. During the World War II Bulgaria barred the deportation of any of its 48,000 Jews.
