Josef Zisels’ Visit to Great Britain Continues
02.07.2014, Region The working visit of the Chairman of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council, VAAD Ukraine Chairman Josef Zisels to London continues.
On July 1, Josef Zisels met with MP John Mann, who chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group against Antisemitism. Josef Zisels described the situation in the Jewish community of Ukraine, talked about anti-Semitism and anti-Semitic provocations, gave a short description of Ukrainian radical right groups and parties. Francois Guesnet of the Institute of Polish Jewish Studies was also present at the meeting. Guesnet was the editor and one of the authors in a group of articles on manifestations of anti-Semitism in Eastern Europe.
On that same day, Josef Zisels visited the Ukrainian Embassy in the United Kingdom, where he met with envoy and minister Andriy Kuzmenko, and discussed a number of questions of mutual relevance and interest.
Josef Zisels also visited the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain, where he’d met with and exchanged opinions on the Ukrainian situations with the leaders of the Association - Fedir Kurlyak and Iryna Terletskaya. Andrei Kuzmenko, the envoy and minister of the Ukrainian embaddy, was also present at the meeting. The negotiations culminated in the two sides discussing joint projects in Great Britain.
