EAJC Statement Regarding the Terrorist Attack in Paris
07.01.2015, Region The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) received reports from France of the bloody terrorist attack in the weekly «Charlie Hebdo» editorial office, which claimed the lives of twelve people, with great pain and anger.
We express our condolences to the families and friends of victims in this inhuman crime and firmly believe that the perpetrators will be punished.
It is the EAJC's strong position that there is can be neither excuses nor any political perspectives for terrorism.
We support the position of the French government, which stands ready to do everything possible to prevent terrorist activities and to ensure the safety of their citizens.
We hope that the world community will demonstrate its uncompromising attitude to terrorism, and French law enforcement agencies will be able to stop the extremists in their own country.
