The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress is shocked by the barbaric attack on bus passengers in Tel Aviv, which left over a dozen innocent people injured. This is yet another step in the tactic of total intimidation that is being carried out by those who wish to inspire hatred towards the Jewish state.

We deeply sympathize with all the victims and wish them a speedy recovery. We stand in solidarity with the people of Israel, who are almost daily confronted with violent attacks on civilians in various cities of the country.

We are outraged by the reaction of Hamas, which has already said that this attack on innocent bus passengers is a "heroic act" committed against the "Zionist occupation." Hamas itself has not taken responsibility for the attack. We are waiting for an official condemnation of the terrorist practices on behalf of the Palestinian Authority and the leaders of the Islamic world.

We are convinced that all political and social forces throughout the world must unite in the face of this common threat in the name of peace and security.
