Through the efforts of the Union of Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and organizations (SBEOOO) a new monument was erected in the village of Milovidy at the place where in August 1941 local Jews were brutally killed by the Nazis. Granite monument took the place of the dilapidated memorial sign, stood for more than fifty years.
In a letter of thanks to SBEOOO relatives of the victims wrote: "We express the Union of Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and organizations heartfelt thanks for the great job to preserve the memory of those who died in the Holocaust. Thank you for a new monument, for the preservation of the memory of our loved ones."
