ICJW President visited the EAJC Moscow office
08.11.2016, Region Executive director of the EAJC Moscow office Natalia Schmidt met with the President of the International Council of Jewish Women (ICJW) Robyn Lenn, who visited Russia on a working visit.
Established in 1912, ICJW is an umbrella organization representing Jewish women and women's organizations in 35 countries. ICJW has consultative status at the United Nations as a non-governmental organization (NGO) with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and maintains permanent delegations in New York, Geneva, Vienna and Paris. ICJW is also represented at the Council of Europe, the European Women’s Lobby, the International Council of Women, the World Jewish Congress, and many other international and regional organizations. ICJW representative in Russia is Irina Shcherban, Director of the Moscow Jewish Community House, member of the EAJC General Council.
The sides exchanged information on the activities of the EAJC and ICJW and discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the two organizations.
