Youth Jewish forum in Carpathians held with EAJC support
09.02.2017, Region The 7th WinterJew youth forum took place at the end of January in Bukovel (Ivano-Frankivskaya oblast, Ukraine). Activists from 8 countries participated in the forum.
WinterJew is an international youth Jewish forum aimed at uniting Jews from different countries for purposes of education, learning about local Jewish heritage, professional, community and personal networking, as well as at having fun, relaxing and skiing. The program of the forum included lectures on psychology, economics and politics, culinary workshops taught by senior chef and owner of an Israeli restaurant in Budapest, as well as skiing, tours, intellectual and musical games during the evenings, a Shabbath and Havdalah celebration, and parties. Co-President of the Association of Jewish Communities and Organizations (Vaad) Ukraine, Chairman of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council Josef Zissels was also, as usual, a lector at the WinterJew forum.
The participants also joined the #WeRemember social network flashmob that was organized by the World Jewish Congress for the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
